"There is nothing training cannot do. Nothing is above its reach. It can turn bad morals to good; it can destroy bad principles and recreate good ones; it can lift men to angelship." - Mark Twain

"Every adversity, every failure and every heartache carries with it the Seed of an equivalent or a greater Benefit." - Napoleon Hill

"I realized I had to manage my time and redouble my efforts. I had climbed so many mountains, overcome so many obstacles. I wasn't going to quit now."
- Dr. Ben Carson

"A man who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the man doing it." - Chinese proverb

It is my belief that, the same ingredient that tears us apart also binds us together. That ingredient is our differences. It doesn't matter whether you're black, white, Hispanic, Asian, Native-American, tall, short, light, dark, female, male, rich, or poor. Whether your ancestors came by way of the Nina, the Pinta, the Santa Maria, slavery, Ellis Island, or by their own volition: all have added to the greatness of America. Moreover, it is those differences, that "diversity," that is the mortar of what this country is built on. Notwithstanding, those same synergies tend to cause conflict, challenge, and competition for many groups as well as individuals. However, what they provide most is an opportunity to dream and become successful. Our ancestors and foreparents have left blueprints that continue to show us how to overcome adversity. What's even more beautiful is, we live in a country where we can "create" opportunities, even when none seem to exist. America, "land of the free and home of the brave!"
